What is in Tripart Injection?

Each millilitre contains potassium aspartate 20 mg, magnesium aspartate 20 mg, nicotinamide (vitamin B3) 60 mg, L-arginine hydrochloride 100 mg, L-lysine hydrochloride 50 mg, selenium (as sodium selenate) 1 mg and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) 500 µg. What is Tripart Injection used for?

Tripart Injection is used as a performance and recovery supplement. By providing essential nutrients at the right time and in the right amounts, it helps maintain efficient muscle metabolism, delays the onset of fatigue and supports recovery after strenuous exercise. The aspartate salts are reported to improve endurance by lowering blood lactate and ammonia, while selenium contributes to antioxidant defense and vitamin B12 supports red blood cell turnover. The injection is commonly given before and after racing, hard training sessions and long journeys.

How is Tripart Injection given?

Always follow the product label and dose under the direction of your veterinarian.

• Horses: 5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight, once weekly or as directed by a veterinary surgeon. For competition, it is often given 48 and 24 hours before strenuous exercise and around 6 hours after a race.
• Camels: 5–10 mL twice weekly for smaller camels (higayg, ligaya and iddah) and 10–15 mL twice weekly for larger camels (thanayah, howl and gilesa), by IM injection — typically 48 and 24 hours before strenuous work and about 6 hours after a race or major tahfeem.
• Racing dogs: 0.5 mL per 10 kg bodyweight once weekly, or as directed by your veterinarian.

Does Tripart Injection help with tying up?

Tripart Injection is formulated to help reduce the risk of tying up — known clinically as exertional rhabdomyolysis — especially where the problem is linked to selenium deficiency or amino-acid insufficiency. Selenium is part of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which helps clear the free radicals generated during hard exercise, while magnesium and potassium support normal muscle contraction. It is a supportive supplement rather than a treatment: horses or camels that repeatedly tie up should be examined by a veterinarian, because recurrent cases can have underlying metabolic causes that need specific diagnosis and management. It is often combined with other CEVA performance products such as L-Carnitine Injection and AMP-5 for muscle energy support.

Which animals is Tripart Injection for?

It is labelled for horses and dogs, and CEVA’s export guidance adds camel dosing for the GCC market. The supplement is widely used for racehorses, endurance horses, racing camels and racing greyhounds.

How often is it given?

Horses are usually treated once weekly and camels twice weekly, with additional doses timed around racing and travel. It may also be given daily for short periods if a veterinarian directs. Always follow the label directions.

How should it be stored?

Store below 30 °C, protect from light and keep out of reach of children. Follow the label for in-use shelf life after the vial is first broached and for safe disposal of any unused product.
