AMMO Allwormer Paste is a broad-spectrum oral worming paste for horses, manufactured by Ceva to treat and control the major internal parasites of horses in a single dose. It is suitable for adult horses, ponies, foals over four weeks of age and pregnant mares, and is delivered through a convenient dial-a-dose syringe that treats a horse up to 600 kg bodyweight.

What are the active ingredients in AMMO Allwormer Paste?

Abamectin 4 mg/g and Morantel Tartrate 167 mg/g.

What is AMMO Allwormer Paste used for?

AMMO Allwormer Paste is used to treat and control a wide range of equine worms and bots in one dose. Abamectin, a macrocyclic lactone, binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in the parasite’s nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of susceptible worms and bots, while Morantel Tartrate broadens the spectrum to include tapeworm (Anoplocephala perfoliata) and works alongside abamectin against other gut worms.

Key benefits and features:

  • Dual-active, broad-spectrum control — Abamectin plus Morantel Tartrate cover tapeworm, strongyles, roundworm, pinworm, bots and more in a single treatment.
  • Activity against resistant strains — labelled as effective against benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles and roundworm strains resistant to ivermectin and abamectin.
  • One syringe treats up to 600 kg — a single 32.5 g dial-a-dose syringe is enough for one adult horse of 600 kg bodyweight, giving simple and economical dosing.
  • Wide safety margin — labelled as safe for adult horses, ponies, foals over four weeks of age, pregnant mares, and debilitated or convalescent animals when used as directed.

How to use AMMO Allwormer Paste in horses?

Turn the ring on the plunger to the setting that matches your horse’s weight, then deposit the paste well back over the tongue. For foals and ponies, the manufacturer advises 5 mL per 100 kg bodyweight. It can be used in pregnant mares and in foals from four weeks of age. As a general guide, horses are often wormed every 6–8 weeks within a structured program, with bot and tapeworm treatment typically given in spring and autumn. Store below 30 °C and keep out of reach of children. Always consult your veterinarian to build a diagnostic-driven worming plan, and follow all local and racing regulations.

Which worms does it treat?

It treats and controls tapeworm, large and small strongyles (including benzimidazole-resistant strains), pinworm, roundworm, hairworm, neck and intestinal threadworm, large-mouthed stomach worms, lungworm, and the oral and gastric stages of bots.

Is it safe for pregnant mares and foals?

Yes — it is labelled as safe for pregnant mares and for foals over four weeks of age when dosed to bodyweight and used as directed. Always read the label, and ask your vet if you are unsure.

How many horses does one syringe treat?

One 32.5 g syringe treats a single horse up to 600 kg bodyweight, while foals and ponies are dosed at 5 mL per 100 kg. A stud pack of 50 syringes is also available for larger yards.

Can I use it on camels, livestock or pets?

No. This product is formulated and registered for horses only. Do not use it in other species — speak to your veterinarian for the correct dewormer for camels, livestock, dogs or cats.

AMMO Allwormer Paste is part of our full range of Ceva products at Ghezlan. For complete prescribing information, refer to the official Ceva product details linked above, and always follow your veterinarian’s advice.
