Enrofloxacin is one of the second-generation quinolones with extended antibacterial activity not only against gram positive and gram negative bacteria, but also against mycoplasma. It is well absorbed and distributed after oral and parenteral dosing. Enrofloxacin acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA-gyrase, keading to a reduction in supercoiling and serious disruption of the spatial arrangement of DNA
Composition:
Each 1 ml contains: Enrofloxacin 100 mg.
Administration and dosage:
For I.M. or S.C. administration
Calves, Cattle, Sheep and Goat: 1 ml/20 – 40 kg b.wt for 3- 5 days.
Withdrawal period:
Meat: 21 days.
Milk: 4 days.
